She rose to fame in the late s as lead singer of the R&B girl-group Destiny&#;s Child. Beyoncé is a multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning recording artist who&#;s acclaimed for her thrilling vocals, videos and live shows. She performed in various singing and dancing competitions as a child. Beyoncé won her first school talent show with her rendition of &#;Imagine&#; by John Lennon. At age nine Beyoncé formed the singing-rapping girl group Destiny’s Child (originally called Girl’s Tyme) in with childhood friends.
