&#; Luang Phor Thuad (Luang Pu Thuat; Thai: หลวงปู่ทวด, Mandarin: 龙普托 / 圣溪寺) was a thai monk who lived around years ago and was highly respected in Thailand. He was born in Sathing Phra district, Singora, Thailand.
Luang Pu Thuad, also spelled as LP Thuat or Luang Pu Tuad, is a revered Buddhist monk in Thai Buddhism. His full title is Somdet Phra Putthajarn Toh Phommarangsi. Luang Pu Thuad lived in Thailand during the 19th century and is widely venerated for his reputed supernatural abilities and compassionate nature.
Legend has it that Luang Pu Thuad performed various miracles during his lifetime, including surviving a shipwreck, walking on water, and transforming saltwater into freshwater. Due to these miraculous stories and the belief in his protective powers, amulets bearing his image are highly sought after by devotees. Many people believe that wearing or possessing an amulet of Luang Pu Thuad can bring good luck, protection, and ward off evil.

LP Toh studied dhamma under Pra Ah Jahn Prom from Wat PraDooChimPlee. When Luang Pu Toh was 20 years of age, he was ordained as a monk on 16th July BE by PraKru SamMaNaTamSaMahTahn (Saeng) from Wat PakNam. PraKru ArGatRahNuSit (Porng) Wat NuaNooRaDit and PraKru TamMaWiRat (Chei) Wat GumPaeng were the receptors.
After Pra Ah Jahn Prom passed away, LP Toh went to study dhamma under Luang Por Rong Wat TahGraBeua at SaMuSahKon Province. Later, he went Tudong to many forested places in Northern Thailand, spending many rain retreats there.
LP Toh returned to Bangkok and became the abbot of Wat PraDooChimPlee. He knew LP Sod, Wat PakNam and they became close friends. LP Sod accompanied LP Toh to learn under the very famous Pra Ah Jahn Nohng at SuPhanBuri Province. After studying under Ah Jahn Nohng for many years, LP Toh returned to Bangkok.

When Luang Phor Koon was 7 years old , his grandfather brought him to study Thai and Pali under Ah Jahn Cheum, Ajahn Saai and Pra Ajahn Lee in a temple near his house. Luang Phor Koon was ordained as a monk at the age of 21 years old at Wat Thanon HakYai on 5th May BE Phra Kru Wijahn Dtigit was the preceptor. Phra Kru Atigahn Torng Suk was his dhamma teacher. His monk's name was Pisuttoh.
